The Bookish Scenarios Tag

Thank you Ashleigh @ A Frolic Through Fiction for tagging me! I’ve actually seen this tag done on youtube and thought it was great 🙂

1.) You have to get rid of all your books and you can only keep one from each of these genres – contemporary, fantasy, non-fiction and one other genre of your choosing. What books do you keep?

Contemporary – I don’t read many contemporary books but I’m choosing Walking Disaster by Jamie McGuire.

Fantasy – I CAN’T POSSIBLY CHOOSE JUST ONE. THIS IS MEAN. Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick. And can I also take Queen of Shadows with me? Please? No? Okay… 😦

Non-fiction – The only non-fiction book I’ve read is Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year by Demi Lovato, which is a self-help book but that also counts as non-fiction, right?

Historical Romance – This one is easy, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon!

2.) You’re at the bookstore and you hear a teenager telling their mom they don’t like to read, but their mom insists they pick something. You walk over and recommend a book you think is great for people who aren’t big on reading – what book is it?
I think I’d recommend A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas because it’s a retelling of Beauty and the Beast and I think pretty much everyone has watched the Disney movie (especially if that teenager is a girl) so I think that would be a great book for someone who isn’t big on reading, since the story would be somewhat familiar. And then I’d say to read the other book series by Sarah J Maas, which is Throne of Glass 😉

3.) You’re not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which book do you read to put yourself in a great mood?
Hush Hush will forever be my pick me up book : )

4.) You go back in time for a day to your child-hood years. What book would you most likely have caught yourself reading?
I read the Geronimo Stilton books all the time during my childhood, I had the whole collection available had the time which were 30 books 🙂 I just loved the way they were written and the stories were always so much fun 😀 Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House was one of my favourites, I read it more then once : )

5.) Your friend surprises you with a 4 day trip and you have 1 hour to pack. Which book do you bring to read on the way?
I would take the one I’m currently reading, Truthwitch by Susan Dennard, which happens to be on my Kindle app : )

6.) Your house has been robbed! Don’t worry – everyone is safe, but your bookshelf has been raided. What’s the book you really hope is safe?
ALL OF THEM. But the ones I truly hope are okay are the ones I can’t replace like my signed edition of City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare and my copies of the Hush Hush saga because I love them even though they are all old and battered.

7.) Your friend borrows a book and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven’t noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs?
Kindly ask them to repurchase it because I couldn’t pretend I didn’t notice and I would never do the same to something of theirs because I wouldn’t want to hurt them like they hurt me.
But this would never happen again since I don’t let my friends borrow my books anymore. I did once when I was 11 or something and it took them more than a month to find the book.

      2. Yeah that’s nice 🙂 I’ve lent mine to my cousin and he’s enjoying them, he likes reading. And when my sister is old enough to read them (she’s 5 now) I’m hoping she’ll love them as much as I did 🙂
