Since this is book three I can’t talk much about what happens without spoiling it.

Once again I was blown away by the amount of research that clearly went into this book, the historical facts and all the medicinal plants Claire uses. It’s honestly amazing and it shows a tremendous effort from Diana Gabaldon.

After the ending of Dragonfly in Amber I was both scared and really excited to read Voyager, but most of all, I was really curious about Jamie’s fate and what would happen to him and Claire. Thankfully, it surpassed my expectations. It was great to see the story from Jamie’s perspective too. The character development is brilliant and Jamie and Claire’s relationship is honestly beautiful in this book. I’ve never read or seen such a beautiful love story. And once again, Claire proved to be an incredibly strong heroine.

So many things happened in this book! The plot was really fast paced and something new and exciting happened in every chapter, which made me constantly turn the pages. There were many moments that really tugged at my heart strings, one in particular actually succeeded in making me cry (as per usual in the Outlander books) and there were also amazing moments when I felt I could cry of joy. Unlike the last two books, this one is not focused on politics or war, even though we see the repercussions of Culloden. Like the name suggests, a voyage takes place and throughout that time there is a lot of action, as well as shocking plot twists!

Honestly, this book took me on an incredible journey and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next installment, Drums of Autumn!
