Fireheart Recs: Dystopian

IMG_2094A couple days ago I was tagged to do the Lap Full Of Book Recs tag on Instagram and I thought I’d do my firts recommendations post here!

For my first Fireheart Recs post I’ll be recommending my favourite Dystopian novels! 😀

1. Shatter Me trilogy by Tahereh Mafi
Shatter Me is my favourite dystopian series ever and it’s definitely in my top 15 books of 2015! Tahereh Mafi’s writing style is beautiful, I loved the plot and I absolutly loved the characters. Juliette is one of my favourite female characters, I couldn’t help falling in love with our bad guy Warner and Kenji never failed to make me laugh 😀 Also, these covers are gorgeous!!

2. The Darkest Minds trilogy by Alexandra Bracken
I read The Darkest Minds right after I finished Shatter Me and I loved it! Ruby, our main character, actually reminded me of Juliette – she had something traumatic happen to her in her childhood and in the beginning she is weak but in the second book she goes through major character development and she becomes this badass female character. And then of course there’s Liam Stewart who’s a sweatheart and the rest of the characters like Zu, Chubs and Vida are also great : ) So if you enjoyed Shatter Me you’ll probably enjoy The Darkest Minds and vice versa 😉

3. The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings
I read The Murder Complex this Halloween and let me tell you, it is different than anything I’ve ever read (you can read my review here if you’d like). I loved how Lindsay Cummings created a world that is so similar to ours, yet a lot worse. People killing each other for pointless reasons. It really made me think that cold be us in a couple of decades with the way things are right now. This is a great book about survival and I’m dying to get my hands on the second book, The Death Code, because I’ve heard it’s even better!

That’s it, my top 3 favourite Dystopian books! Please let me know if you’ve read any of these books and what you think of them 😀

  1. Grr… They don’t sell shatter me in the UK! I so want to read them though! Btw, where did you get the pic of ‘Fireheart Recs’ (Guessing that recs means recommends- Correct me if I’m wrong)? Did you make it yourself? I love it! X

      1. I’ve heard it gives you free shipping after £10 or something. Yeah I have to pay shipping which is like half the price of the book. That’s why I mostly use Book Depository, the shipping is free for most countries. I only use amazon uk if I want a book fast because it takes half the time to arrive 🙂

      2. Yay omg! Yes there’s 6 and then there’s a trilogy set in the same world but in the past called The Infernal Devices which I think it’s a little better than TMI. And there’s a whole book about Magnus Bane called The Bane Chronicles! And there’s gonna be two more series in the same world! And I love that the stories are all connected and there are characters that are in all of them! Omg I’m way too excited hahaha

      4. Well I like to think I can haha I’ve had English classes since I was 5 and I have English cousins so that also helped, plus watching a lot of tv shows and reading a lot. But I make grammar mistakes sometimes…
